Centennial Anniversary Tour – “HONOR & EMPOWER”

Centennial Anniversary Tour – “HONOR & EMPOWER”

Centennial Anniversary Tour – “HONOR & EMPOWER”Submitted by Terri Turi, D8 Centennial Anniversary Coordinator
October and November started off the Centennial Anniversary Tour of District 8 with a bang!  Traveling this district and sharing Zonta International’s 100 year celebration plans to all our clubs is quite an honor.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Zontians near and far, hearing fabulous ideas and assisting in some planning for your club’s celebrations.

Traveling with other Zontians in District leadership makes this tour a win/win!  My thanks to Nominating Committee Chair, Dora Daniels, and D8 Conference Chair Deb Lal for joining me on a few visits so far!  We have visited with the Corvallis Club, the Eugene/Springfield Club, the Clubs of Blackfoot and Pocatello, and the Coos Bay Area Club.  Next up are Roseburg, Grants Pass and Portland with Area 4 Director Debbie Schade joining me, Anchorage in January with Governor Jeanie and Int’l Membership Committee member Cindy Phillips.  Many more visits in the works during January and February to cover the Washington and British Columbia clubs.

The International group Centennial Anniversary Coordinators will be holding a SKYPE meeting on Dec. 1, to get updates from ZI with details on the grant and awards processes and more information on the COMMON ACTION for all clubs to participate in next November. Stay tuned to the District Facebook page and this Newsletter for updated information as I receive it!
