Zonta USA Advocacy
It’s been an honor to serve as District 8 Foundation Ambassador for the 2016-2017 Biennium.
As announced at our recent All Area Workshop (which was fantastic by the way), every District 8 club has stepped up at every district event, and every club has made a contribution to Zonta International Foundation (ZIF) each year of the current and last biennium, something only a few of districts around the world have done!
Another update from the workshop…overall, as of April 1, the total funds contributed to ZIF by all districts, Zontians and friends globally is almost $4 Million (US), which is about 75% of the total biennium goal of $5.4 Million (US). We look forward to reaching 100% with the final annual contributions being submitted before May 31st!
And, District 8 Zontians who attended the Portland workshop, can be proud that we are helping ZIF get there. The total funds raised in the short weekend club competition event, was $3,255, which includes online contributions. Thank you to ALL who participated!
Kudos to every District 8 club…because of your generosity, Zonta International continues to empower women and girls around the world.
